Linate is situated 10km east of the centre of Milan. With the 'opening' of Malpensa 2000 the volume of traffic as this city airport dropped dramatically, but as the airlines are now realising that business passengers wish to have a 5 minute taxi journey to the centre of the city rather than a 45 minute train journey, the airport has sprung back into life. Today the airport is frequented by a number of different aircraft and airlines, ranging from Alitalia A321's to Executive aircraft. Scheduled airlines which operate from this airport include:- Aer Lingus 737's, A321's Air Dolamiti CRJ's Air Europe A320's Air France A321's,CRJ700's Air One 737's Alitalia A321's,MD80's,A319's Alpi Eagles Fk100's Austrian Airlines CRJ's BMI 737's,A320's British Airways 757's, 737's, A320's Gandalf Airlines Do328Jet's, Go/Easyjet 737's Iberia A320's,757's KLM 737's Lufthansa A320's,737's Meridiana MD's Olympic 737's SAS MD80's SN Brussels A319's,146's TAP A319's TNT A300's, Transavia 737's Virgin Express 737's Volare/VolareWEB A320's
